7th AUAP Global Leadership Programme 2020, Bangkok, Thailand (July 22-31)
The Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) in cooperation with Siam University (SU) will organize the 7th Global Leadership Programme to be held in Thailand (in Samut Songkhram City, just outside of Bangkok) on July 22-31, 2020. The host Siam University will offer 20 students from AUAP member universities the opportunity to undertake a challenging extra-curricular program for a period of 10 days, from July 22-31, 2020 (arrival on July 22 and leaving on July 31). SU, as the host, will cover the local logistics, accommodation and meals.
Centered on the theme ''Meeting the Global Challenge: Creativity, Profession, and Humanity,'' the program targets students who are interested in seeing how their personal growth, inclusive environments and student leadership can impact global issues and global change. Lectures and discussions will be conducted in English and will cover topics such as cultural diversity, intercultural communication, and key problems in global communities. This program will also feature a variety of activities conducted outside the classroom to engage student leaders in student leadership projects and provide the opportunity to explore Thai culture. Activities will include an introduction to the Thai pop dance, a cooking contest, volunteering, a group presentation, and field trips. At the closing ceremony of the program, students are required to do a performance and will receive a certificate for the completion of the program.
AUAP Members can recommend selected student leaders who are active, sincere, and responsible to participate in this program. For more information please contact the AUAP Secretariat via email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Since the seats are limited, we will base our selection on a first come first served basis. We will select the first 20 student leaders nominated by their institution on or before February 15, 2020.
We look forward to welcoming your student representative to Bangkok, Thailand on July 22, 2020.
